Clarissa Belanti was born September 3rd 1992 in Melbourne, Australia.
She attended Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School and began her Chinese language studies there. Her Chinese teachers always encouraged her to partake in Chinese speaking compeitions, and with her teachers support and help, Clarissa received first place almost every year at the
high school Chinese language competitions in Victoria.
She joined the school's Chinese Orchestra as a singer, and began performing Chinese songs that impressed her audience. Clarissa was
honoured to represent Australia in Chongqing (2009) and Changsha (2012) in China at the International Chinese Bridge Chinese speaking and performing competitions, winning "the most talented" award in 2009, and the "top prize" in 2012, and the title of 5th best Chinese speaker/performer in the World for that year's competition. The Chinese Embassy in Melbourne became aware of her achievements and presented Clarissa with a scholarship to complete a degree at the 'Central Conservatory of Music' in Beijing.
Since then, Clarissa has continuously contributed to the China-Aus relationship, and hopes to keep contribiting to this strong bond.
